Preparation of Abstracts

  • The submission of abstracts to the V International Seminar on Competitive Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastic (V SIGARC) will be entirely online.

  • Only abstracts in english will be accepted.

  • An author may submit a maximum of two (2) abstract as first author and no limits for co-authors.

  • Registration fee must be paid by the first author.

  • An abstract may has a maximum of five (5) authors.

1. The abstract will be divided into three areas:

 

a. Sociocultural – articles related to Physical Education and Sport History, Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, Politics, Economics, and Administration.

 

b. Biodynamics – articles related to Physical Education and Sport Biochemistry, Physiology, Biomechanics, Medicine, Nutrition and related areas.

 

c. Behavior and Pedagogy – articles related to Physical Education and Sport Psychology, Motor Control and Motor Behavior, Pedagogy and related areas.

 

 

2. The abstract must have between 2500 and 3500 characters (including spaces). It must be entered in the specific form field.

 

3. The title, authors indication and general information on the institution and support entities must be fulfilled in the correspondent form field.

 

4. Original studies must contain: description of the investigated problem, characteristics of the sample, material and method, results and conclusions.

 

5. The experience reports must contain descriptive data, analysis of conceptual implications, description of procedures or intervention strategies and closing remarks.

 

6. Although citations can be made in the text, example (NUNOMURA, 2016), the item references should not be included in the submitted abstracts, as well as any type of figures or graphics.

 

7. The abstracts will not be reviewed or edited. The author will be responsible for the final revision before sending it to the event. The author is also responsible for typing the correct author and co-author names, having in mind that these pieces of information will be used for generating the certificates.

 

8. As a general rule, there will only be accepted abbreviations and symbols standardized by the Système International d’Unités.

 

9. The submission process will start on May 1st 2017 and close on June 18th 2017.

 

10. The abstracts that do not follow the rules above will not be sent for analysis, but will be returned to the sender.

 

11. The evaluation on the abstracts will be sent until July 10th to 17th, 2017.

For the abstracts accepted by the Scientific Commission:

 

1. Only works in the format of panels will be presented.

 

2. All selected abstracts will be published in a special supplement of the Brazilian Journal of Physical Education and Sport (Revista Brasileira de Educação Física e Esporte, RBEFE) online version upon payment, which must be made necessarily by the first author until August 10th 2017.

 

3. The panel (100 cm X 90 cm) will be exposed during a period of time to be determined, by occasion of the acceptance of the abstract. The presenter must stay at the exposition venue of the poster during a period defined by the organization of the event.
