The Island of Victoria is formed by an archipelago composed of 33 islands, and a continental portion, totaling 93.38 square kilometers. The landscapes of the city enchant who arrives, whether by plane, ship or by land, in which seven bridges link the Island of Victoria to the continent.

 

Vitória is the capital of Espírito Santo and has 355,875 inhabitants (IBGE, 2015). The city is the heart of metropolitan region, which congregates six cities -Cariacica, Fundão, Guarapari, Serra, Vila Velha, and Viana - totaling an estimated population of 1,910,000.

 

The Island is strategically located in the Southeast Brazil, close to major urban centers. It limits to the North with the city of Serra, to the South with Vila Velha, to the East with the Atlantic Ocean, and to the West with the city of Cariacica.

 

Surrounded by the Bay of Vitória and the estuary formed by the rivers Santa Maria, Marinho, Bubu, and Aribiri, the city features Islands, slopes, coves, mangroves, and beaches which have great landscaping.

 

The city is unique for its natural beauties and traditional cultural groups. It is remarkable the growth of Vitória as a touristic destination. The city has a territorial area favorable to business, events and sports, especially those performed on water. In addition, Vitória is always preparing itself to offer more qualified and diversified services to population as well to tourists.
